The Picker / Packer supports warehouse operations by selecting inventory accurately, packing orders securely, and preparing items for shipment in a Bronx facility. Day-to-day responsibilities typically include reading order tickets or scanner prompts, locating merchandise, checking items for accuracy and condition, assembling cartons, labeling packages, and staging completed orders for outbound processing. The position may also require counting stock, keeping the work area orderly, and reporting damaged or missing product to a supervisor. Employers usually look for basic reading and math skills, reliability, the ability to follow directions, and prior warehouse or fulfillment experience is helpful but not always required. This work is physically active and may involve standing for long periods, walking the warehouse floor, reaching, bending, and lifting or carrying moderate-weight packages as permitted by the employer. The schedule is full time and may include standard daytime hours or other assigned shifts depending on operational needs.
